One of my favorite vampire books would have to be Blackwood Farm, by Anne Rice. In this novel, a young man named Quinn Blackwood is haunted by a doppelganger, and when Quinn is made into a vampire, his doppelganger becomes even more terrifying than himself. The setting of the story is mainly in Blackwood Farm, which is supposedly located in New Orleans. Blackwood Farm is a luxurious manor, with gorgeous gardens, tall white pillars, and spacious rooms, but Quinn is constantly haunted by his doppelganger, which keeps him from escaping the dream-like world that is Blackwood Farm. Blackwood Farm is one of the novels that make up Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles, and has a very seductive and luxurious style to it. This book is very maturely written, and will probably always be one of my favorites.

A favorite book of mine is November Blues, by Sharon Draper. This book is about a teenage girl who finds out she is pregnant right after her boyfriend is killed. AT first, November is scared to tell anyone, especially her mother, who has such high hopes for her. After she musters her courage to tell everyone, she has to deal with schoolmates taunting her, the loss of a former best friend, and even a custody battle for her unborn child. This book was an excellent read. However, I would recommend you read the prequel, The Battle of Jericho.

I have read the entire Twilight series. I think it is amazing, and people should read these books.

A great vampire story is Goodnight Kiss by R.L. Stine. The book is scary, yet it dosen't overly frighten you. The plot is very realistic and like all of Stine's books, has a surprise ending.

Speak is another good story. Although it starts out slow, by the time you get to the end of the book you are dying to see how it ends.

One of my favorite books is Gone with the Wind. Even though it took place such a long time ago, reading it is still wonderful. It had twists and turns that kept my attention.
